Asus ROG Phone 6 Might Be The First Phone To Offer Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Chipset: TENAA Certification


Asus is all set to launch its upcoming gaming smartphone series the ROG Phone 6 possibly next month and we have already heard a lot about handsets. The company has confirmed that the ROG Phone 6 series will go live on July 5th and gradually it has also started teasing about the handset. Asus ROG Phone 6 has also appeared on a series of certifications sites including the 3C authority of China with model numbers AI2201_A and AI2201_B. Now in the latest TENAA listing the ROG Phone 6 has appeared with model number AI2201_B revealing some vital information regarding the gaming smartphone ahead of launch.

Asus ROG Phone 6 TENAA Listing

The ROG Phone 6 is spotted on the TENAA listing with model number AI2201_B. The listing confirmed that the device will arrive with a thickness of 10.39mm and weighs around 229 grams. Furthermore, the gaming handset is said to offer a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is tipped to arrive with the Android 12 operating system with ROG UI.

Under the hood, the ROG Phone 6 is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, clocked at 3.2GHz. The handset is said to be backed by an 18GB RAM and 256GB storage. As per the TENAA listing, the gaming phone is said to pack a massive 6000mAh battery split into two-compartment.

On the camera front, the ROG Phone 6 is tipped to offer a 12-megapixel camera sensor on the front for selfies and video calls. While the rear panel is tipped to offer a triple rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary camera.
