Chesterfield Police are looking for a woman who is allegedly abusing her infant on social media

CHESTERFIELD – County police are looking for a woman and her infant believed to be in a video depicting child abuse circulating on social media.

Chesterfield Police released this picture of an infant who was allegedly shaken violently by his mother. The incident was captured on video and police said the video was circulated on social media.

According to a police report, a video appeared on social media around 4pm on Wednesday, in which 20-year-old Astrid Sanchez Diaz allegedly shook her four-month-old son violently while arguing with and threatening the child’s father.

Authorities were alerted to the video and officers were sent to the residence to check on the child’s welfare, but neither the mother nor the child was found.

Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Sanchez Diaz or the baby should contact Chesterfield Police immediately at (804) 748-1251.
