Covid guidelines have reduced the Delhi Metro seating capacity down to 200 in eight buses from 2400 normally. The current restriction indicates only 50% seating and no standing driving.
A metro train with eight buses can generally carry around 2400 passengers. This consists of approximately 50 seated passengers and 250 standing passengers per. bus.
Now, due to the Covid guideline, each bus can only accommodate about 25 passengers. Therefore, an 8 bus train can now only accommodate about 200 passengers.
This is less than 10 percent of a train’s normal carrying capacity.
