The Rise Movie Launch LIVE News: Actor Allu Arjun‘s new film Pushpa: The Rise opened in cinemas across the south to packed houses. In the Telugu states, opening tickets were sold out in advance, prompting many celebrities to joke about their failed attempt to find a ticket.
“Early show Hyderabad Tickets kaavali (wanted) (sic),” tweeted director Maruthi. “Kashtam sir. Nen kuda try chestunna (Tough. Even I try it),” wrote Raashi Khanna in response to Maruthi’s tweet.
Pushpa is expected to drive people back to the cinemas after the second lockdown ended. There seems to be a massive demand across Telugu states for opening day tickets. “Half of my day has been spent answering phone calls from people who have asked for Pushpa tickets … there is not one available throughout Hyderabad. And I’ll ask them back if they can get me tickets ๐ It fun at a big release is such an exciting time ๐ I wish the whole team a blockbuster (sic), โwrote filmmaker Rahul Ravindran on his Twitter page.
Director Sukumar and his team worked around the clock to make sure the film hits theaters on Friday as announced. The film team was tense in time due to the delays caused by the pandemic. The filmmakers, however, wanted at all costs to get the film out this week, so that gives them plenty of time to work on the second part of Pushpa. The follow-up film is expected to be ready for release within the next 8-9 months.
